Dr Curt Friedel
Dr. Curt Friedel is an assistant professor in the Department of Agricultural, Leadership, and Community Education, and Director of the Center for Cooperative Problem Solving, at Virginia Tech. He currently has a teaching and research appointment with focus on problem solving and critical thinking skills as they apply to leadership development, teaching and learning, and the management of change.
Dr. Friedel also serves as program leader for the graduate certificate in Problem Solving for Leading Change, a twelve credit-hour certificate at Virginia Tech which integrates Adaption-Innovation Theory into the academic discourse of aspects of solving problems, group dynamics, and social change. Friedel is also the program leader for the undergraduate minor, Leadership and Social Change, at Virginia Tech. Some of the course Friedel has taught include: Leadership Dynamics, Youth Program Management, Exploring Citizen Leadership, and Leading Social Change.
